I'm planning to build a new PC featuring an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X CPU along with a Noctua NH-D9L for cooling (and I might use Arctic MX-4 thermal paste). Since I'll be doing some recording, I really need a quiet setup. Is the Fractal Design Define 7 silent mid-tower a good choice for this configuration, or would you recommend a different case? I appreciate any suggestions!

You might want to consider the Asus ProArt PA602. It has a solid steel panel and comes with a couple of intake fans and a 140mm exhaust, plus it can support a 420mm AIO cooler if you choose to upgrade. Just make sure to check compatibility with your parts. But honestly, I'm not sure the NH-D9L can handle the 9950X, so you might want to look at the NH-D15 instead for better cooling performance.
Thanks for your input! I had my doubts about the cooler's capability, so I'll definitely take your advice and look into the NH-D15.
