What Specs Should I Consider for a New Gaming PC?

I'm thinking about getting a gaming PC but I'm undecided on whether to build it myself or go for a pre-built option. I want to play games like Apex, GTA V, The Sims, and Call of Duty, but since I've never owned a gaming PC before, I'm not sure what specs I should focus on. My budget is under $3000, so any tips or suggestions would be really appreciated!

For the games you're looking to play, you could easily get a solid PC for under $1000. That should give you more than enough power for decent performance!

Exactly! You really don’t need to spend a fortune for those titles.

Building is generally cheaper, but it does mean sourcing parts and doing the assembly. If you choose pre-built, everything is already put together for you, which is nice. For a budget build, I’d say around $1000 will get you a setup with something like a 5060 or 9060, which is good for 1080p gaming. If you want to step up to 1440p, you'll be looking at about $2000 for a setup with a 5070 or 9070. It's pricier but gives you way more performance!

If you're aiming for price-to-performance, I recommend building your own. You can definitely put together a great rig for around $1500 and still have some cash left over for other stuff.
