What Specs Should I Consider for a New PC Designed for Editing and Gaming?

Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a new PC and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the options. I need something that can handle video editing in Premiere Pro and After Effects, as well as 3D modeling with Blender. This is work-related, but I also want it to be capable of gaming. I'm aiming for a budget of around €2000. I definitely want an Nvidia 5070 Ti for its 16GB VRAM and at least 32GB of RAM. Beyond that, I'm unsure what else to focus on. Should I go for an Intel or AMD CPU? I've heard that Intel's 14th gen isn't very good, but I'd love your advice on what specs would give the best performance for my use case. My current setup is over 10 years old, so I'm sure anything new will be a huge upgrade. Thanks for any insights!

When deciding between Intel and AMD, think about how you'll use your PC most. If productivity is your main focus, AMD CPUs are great, especially for 3D tasks, and they usually offer better upgradability. Also, keep in mind that Intel tends to excel in high-end gaming setups. So if you have specific performance needs, consider that. Overall, an AMD CPU should serve you well for video editing and 3D work, especially within your budget.

I’d recommend leaning towards AMD CPUs if you want solid performance for video editing and multitasking. And you're right about SSD space - I suggest shooting for at least 2TB of SSD storage. You might think 1TB is plenty, but it fills up fast with programs and projects. If you're tight on budget, try to find a good combo that fits everything you need.
