Hey everyone! I'm really interested in diving back into gaming and I've been watching some gameplay of DayZ and Rust. While these games might be a bit older, they're definitely calling to me! The only problem is, I'm not sure what type of gaming PC I should get—especially since I want the flexibility to upgrade in the future.
I've never owned a gaming PC before, so I'll need everything including the peripherals. I'm leaning towards a pre-built system since I'm not super comfortable building one or picking compatible parts myself. I get that pre-builts can be more expensive, and I'm prepared for that. I know RAM prices are on the high side at the moment, so I'm okay with waiting if that helps save on costs.
For a bit of context, I'm in my mid-50s. Back in the late 80s, I used to build PCs and servers for clients, so I have some understanding, but technology has changed so much since then that I feel a bit lost! My budget is around £2,500—though I realize that might just get me a lower-end system, especially since I need a monitor too.
