What SSD format is incompatible with my Asus laptop adapter?

I bought an adapter for my Asus laptop, and while the adapter fits perfectly, my SSD won't fit into the SSD slot on the adapter. It's frustrating because the longer contact side of the SSD seems to be just under a millimeter too large. I've included a chart of SSD formats for reference, but I'm not sure which specific format I'm getting wrong. If anyone has ideas about what might clash here, I'd really appreciate the help! Also, I've added a couple of photos showing the actual situation.

It sounds like you might be dealing with different SSD interfaces, like SATA vs. NVMe. Make sure to check if your SSD is M.2 or if it's using a different size or keying method. That could explain why it doesn't fit in the adapter. Double-check the specs against the adapter and see how they line up!

Thanks for the tip! I'm going to check the interface type and see if that's the issue.

Just a heads up, there are several M.2 formats, like B-key and M-key. If your SSD is M-keyed and your adapter only supports B-key, it won't fit. Make sure to look at the keying of your SSD and compare that to your adapter.
