Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a new SSD and I'm in a bit of a pickle over what to choose. I already have a 500 GB NVME SSD installed on my M.2 port, but I'm considering getting another drive. I'm leaning towards a SATA 2.5" SSD, ideally 2 TB. The catch is that in France, these 2.5" SSDs seem to be pretty pricey, even the DRAM-less ones. I've been contemplating whether it might be more cost-effective to buy an M.2 to PCIe adapter and opt for an NVME SSD instead. My motherboard is an MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max, and I know I won't be able to achieve full speed with the adapter. I'm trying to decide whether to go for a regular DRAM-less 2.5" SSD at around 130€ or grab an NVME SSD plus the adapter for about 110€. What do you all think?

I think getting a PCIe to NVME adapter could be a good route if you have the available slots. But remember, only the first PCIe slot on your motherboard is going to give you decent speeds. If you don’t need to use the graphics card slot for anything else, it's worth looking into that option!
That makes sense! I have a PCIe 2.0 x4 and two PCIe 2.0 x1 slots open, plus there's a bit of room under my GPU, so I might proceed with that!
