I'm looking to upgrade my laptop's storage from a 500GB SSD to a 1TB SSD. I'm not very knowledgeable about hardware, but I currently have a KBG60ZNV512G KIOXIA SSD. I know my laptop has only one slot for an SSD, and I'm unsure about the type I need for the upgrade. Can anyone help with what specifications I should look for?

You'll want to look for a 4th generation NVMe M.2 SSD that fits the 2280 size (that means it should be 22mm wide and 80mm long). This will work best with your laptop's motherboard, but keep in mind that NVMe drives are backward compatible, so you can use older models too if necessary. Just double-check your laptop’s support to avoid any issues.

Any NVMe based M.2 SSD will do for your upgrade! Just remember to get the 2280 size, because the dimensions matter. Make sure you check the specs of your laptop before buying to ensure compatibility.
