Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade my GPU to an RTX 5070 Ti soon and wanted to know if there's anything else in my setup that might need an upgrade. I built my PC a few years ago, and here are my specs:
- Corsair 4000D Airflow
- ASUS Tuf Z590 Wifi
- Intel i7 11700F
- Zotac RTX 2070 Super
- EVGA 600W PSU
- Samsung 870 EVO 1TB
- Random 1TB hard drive
- bequiet! Pure Rock 2 FX
Thanks in advance for any advice!

I highly recommend upgrading your CPU cooler. The i7-11700F has a power limit of only 65 watts in the long run, but you could boost it to 224 watts for much better performance if you tweak the settings. Everything else seems good, but it might be wise to wait for RAM and SSD prices to drop before doing more upgrades.

Cool, I'll look into that, thanks!

If you're looking to really maximize your RTX 5070 Ti, consider a few upgrades:
1. Swap out that 600W PSU for a 750W 80+ Gold unit to ensure you meet the new power standards.
2. Upgrade that random 1TB hard drive to at least a 1TB NVMe Gen4 SSD, since modern games increasingly need Direct Storage support.
3. The RTX 5070 Ti will be a perfect upgrade from your 2070 Super.
4. Lastly, with a motherboard BIOS update, you could eliminate the power limits on your i7-11700F, making it perform more like an i7-11700K!

Just a heads up, very few games actually use DirectStorage at this point. A good SATA SSD like your 870 EVO should work fine for modern gaming.
