What Subscription Plan Should I Choose for Heavy Programming Use?

I'm part of a small startup team that just received funding, and we're working really hard—putting in 10 to 12 hours daily, sometimes even on weekends—to get our MVP ready. We're primarily using Claude Code and Google's models since they've been great for collaboration and coding tasks. I'm considering subscribing to a plan, but I'm unsure which one would be best for our heavy usage. I want to avoid using API keys because I've previously racked up daily bills of $100 to $200, which isn't sustainable. It would be nice to have a fixed monthly price instead. Could someone advise me on the best plan to choose? Is Claude Code worth it, or is there another subscription that offers access to multiple models?

You can start with the Max plan at $100, but if you constantly max out on it, definitely consider the $200 plan. There are also other options like OpenRouter that might suit your needs—just keep your options open!

If you're working intensively, I recommend starting with the $100/month plan for Claude Code. I’ve been on it for a while, and it’s been effective for coding. If you find yourself hitting the limits, then consider upgrading to the $200 plan. Honestly, though, I’ve not maxed it out, and I think you’ll find it sufficient for your needs! It’s worth it, although there is a bit of a learning curve involved.

Definitely go for the Max plan starting at $100/month. If you max that out, then upgrading to $200 is a solid option. I’ve also heard that Augment Code has good pricing and better context management if you're looking for alternatives.

I’d suggest starting with the $100 plan. I’ve pushed it to its limits a few times, but it’s pretty robust. If you need more power, you can easily upgrade! And remember, Claude's code is quite effective if you can manage it well.
