What to Do About My LGA 1155 CPU and Motherboard Issues?

I was happily using my LGA 1155 motherboard with an i5 3470 CPU and a GTX 1650 graphics card powered by a Coolermaster 550W v3 when suddenly it stopped working. I got 4 beeps from the motherboard, which indicated a RAM error, but it turned out to be a CPU issue after I took it to a service center. They managed to get it working, but once I got home, I noticed black stuff and a scratch under my CPU—could it have been damaged? I planned on upgrading to an i7 3770, but now the system won't even boot into BIOS, just turning on for a second and then dying. I looked at the CPU and found a damaged pin after transporting it carefully. Any ideas on what might cause this issue? I also have a Frontech H61 motherboard.

It sounds like you're dealing with old components reaching the end of their lifespan. Since it’s a 13-year-old build, there might be multiple failing parts. You should consider taking it back to the service center and letting them diagnose it properly.

I just built it in February, but it started failing by July—pretty frustrating!
