Hey everyone! I'm reaching out because I'm a bit confused about the recent updates from Microsoft regarding non-profit licenses. Starting tomorrow, there are some changes rolling out that could affect our use of E1 accounts. We have several dozen free grant accounts, and I want to make sure their work can continue uninterrupted, especially with their Exchange accounts. What actions can I take to prevent any disruptions?

As for tomorrow, you won’t be able to renew any donated E1 licenses, so it’s vital to check your renewal date. No accounts will be turned off immediately, but planning ahead for new licensing is definitely a good idea.

Honestly, this whole licensing situation is a mess. The communication from Microsoft is super unclear. Mine renews on 9/15, so I’m pretty sure that’s when we’ll need to make changes. Regarding moving to Business Basic, I don’t see any issue with doing that alongside an existing E1 license—shouldn't interfere at all!
