I made a mistake and plugged a USB-C cable into a USB-A charging brick, and now it doesn't work. I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to fix it, or did I completely fry the charger?

I’m actually curious how you managed to do that since USB-C and USB-A are totally different sizes!

Haha, I know right? I have two cables that look almost identical, just different ends. I plugged it in while it was dark and didn’t realize until I saw a spark. Definitely learned my lesson!

So, just to clarify, which part isn’t working? The cable or the charging brick?

It's the brick that doesn’t work now.

Honestly, chargers are pretty cheap. If it’s broken, just buy a new one. Trying to fix something that costs around $5 isn’t really worth it.

Yeah, I get that! Just thought I’d ask in case there’s an easy fix like cleaning it or something.
