What to do if my iPhone 14 is stuck on a black screen after a corrupted download?

I'm dealing with a frustrating issue with my iPhone 14. Last night, it started looping the Apple logo, so I thought maybe charging it overnight would help. This morning, it was still stuck, so I connected it to my Windows 11 PC to try downloading the restore and update files using the Apple devices app. Unfortunately, the restore process failed several times. Now my phone is showing as being in DFU mode, and neither my Mac nor the charging port seems to recognize it anymore. I'm not sure what my next steps should be. Any advice?

If you’re looking for last-ditch efforts, you could also try using different USB cables or ports when connecting to your PC or Mac to ensure it’s not a connection issue. Sometimes the problem lies there!

It sounds like you've done quite a bit already! Given how many restore attempts you've made, it could be a hardware issue at this point. I recommend taking it to a repair shop where they can have a go at restoring it; they'll also discuss repair options with you if it turns out you need any hardware fixes.

Before you take it in, you might want to try doing a force restart on your iPhone. Just press and quickly release the volume up button, then the volume down, and finally press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo. This might bring it back to life!
