A few years back, I signed up for an app that promised a three-month free trial, then would charge $200 a year. I canceled the trial just after signing up, but somehow, I still got charged $200. Since I've been unemployed since I was 14, I couldn't pay this amount, which means I now owe Apple. Earlier this year, I created a new Apple ID using a different phone number and email after buying a cheap SIM card. I'm worried that Apple will find out about the money I owe them from my previous account and might close my new account. This is especially concerning since I'm using the same devices associated with my old Apple ID. Will they really do that? Is there anything I can do to protect my new account?

Have you tried reaching out to Apple to explain your situation? It might help to appeal their decision directly.
While I can't predict Apple's actions, I recommend setting reminders in the future for any trial periods. That way, you won't miss any cancellation windows.
I actually canceled right after I bought it, but I must have misread something because they charged me without giving me a free trial.
Make sure you don’t link any of the same payment methods to your new account. That’s one of the quickest ways for Apple to catch you and not allow app downloads on the new ID.
I had the same bank account but used a different card on my new Apple ID. I just switched to PayPal and removed the old card. Am I in the clear now?

I did try that, but they just told me to pay the debt first and then maybe I'd get a refund. But I'm unemployed, and I’m scared they’ll just keep my money since it’s been almost three years since the subscription started.
