I recently had an issue where my PC wouldn't start, so I reseated both RAM sticks. Now, when I finally turn it on, the screen displays a half rainbow static and half blue. Does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this?

Make sure to check your monitor cable first; a loose connection could cause that static effect. It’s a quick fix that might save you a lot of headache!

You might want to troubleshoot a bit more. Double-check that the RAM sticks are properly seated and that the monitor cable isn’t loose. Also, consider the possibility that your GPU could be failing or the RAM might be defective.

If the problem persists, it may help to reset the CMOS battery and see if that clears things up. Swapping cables or testing with one RAM stick at a time could also narrow down the issue. If you can, plug the HDMI directly into the motherboard to see if the integrated GPU works instead. If all else fails, and especially if you have a backup monitor, give that a try too!

I swapped my GPU out and it seems like that was the culprit; it was artifacting. Maybe worth considering an upgrade if yours is failing.
