I'm getting ready to sell my custom-built PC for the first time and I've hit a snag. I set everything up and logged into my Microsoft account during the installation of Windows. I definitely don't want the buyer using my account, so I'm thinking I need to wipe the PC before selling. However, I want it to be as 'plug and play' as possible, especially since it could end up in the hands of someone who's not tech-savvy, like a mom or a teenager. If I wipe Windows, the new owner would have to reinstall drivers and tweak settings themselves, and it could be difficult for them to find the right drivers since the motherboard is a bit obscure. What's the best way to handle this? Should I create a temporary account for them, or do you have any tips for making the transition smooth? Thanks!

Check out the sysprep tool! It can reset Windows so that when the new owner boots it up, it feels like brand new. They'll need to log into their own Microsoft account during the setup, but it keeps your info safe. Just make sure you don't mind the memory staying intact after that.

Thanks for the tip! So my files won't be wiped out with that, right?
