Hey everyone! I'm an IT undergrad gearing up for my first interview on the 5th for a System Support Intern role at Soft Vision Technology. I've got a grip on the basics like Windows OS, troubleshooting hardware and software, some networking, and I dabble in command line and PowerShell. I'm looking for advice from those already in the field. What technical skills should I expect to be tested on? What kind of questions might come up? Are there any common mistakes I should watch out for? And how can I make a good impression as a beginner? I'm really eager to learn and gain some hands-on experience, so any insights would be super appreciated! Thanks a lot!

Absolutely, soft skills matter a lot! Make sure to practice those. How you communicate and collaborate can be as crucial as your technical knowledge. And hey, being humble and respectful to those who already have experience can go a long way, too.
Seriously, don’t undersell yourself! Be open and honest about what you know, but avoid claiming you have experience you don’t. If there's something you're not familiar with, explain how you'd go about figuring it out. Showing your approach is just as important as knowing the answers.
One thing to remember is that they probably won't expect you to be super technical since it's an intern role. Focus on explaining how you learn new stuff. If you ever find yourself unsure about something, share your thought process on how you'd tackle the problem. If you have any home projects, like building your own PC, definitely mention them! And don’t forget to prepare a few questions about the role and the team to show you're interested.
