What to Test Before Buying a PC Off Facebook Marketplace?

Hey everyone! I'm planning to buy a PC from someone on Facebook Marketplace for $1200 CAD. It has an RTX 4070 and an i7 11700 processor. The seller has agreed to let me test it at his place, but I'm not sure what I should do besides just running some benchmark tests. Are there any specific benchmarks I should focus on? Any tips on what else to check for? Thanks for your help!

Honestly, I'd be careful with that deal. Carrying $1,200 in cash to meet someone you don't know can be risky. Make sure you trust the seller and consider bringing a friend along for safety!

Yeah, I noticed that he lowered the price from $1500. Still feels a bit sketchy having the listing on a different account, though.

Definitely run 3DMark to check the performance of the GPU. It's a solid benchmark for gaming systems and should give you a good idea of how the PC will hold up.

Be cautious about buying a used system for that price, especially since it has the older 11th gen Intel CPU. Just keep that in mind while you test it.

Make sure to ask the seller to show you the PC booting up and playing a game. You want to see how it performs in real time. Also, registering the graphics card with its manufacturer can help you verify it’s legit. If he hesitates, that’s a red flag for sure.
