Hey everyone! I just got an Acer GX-781 from a family member, but it didn't come with a hard drive. I'm a bit lost on what kind of hard drive I should get for it. Do I need something specific, or can I choose any drive as long as it meets certain specs? I know the PC is a bit older, so I don't expect it to run the latest games like Genshin Impact, but I'd love to play something like The Sims. Any guidance would really be appreciated! Also, apologize if I'm using the wrong terms since English isn't my first language.

Regarding the Kingston NV3 PCIe 4.0 NVMe 1 TB M.2 SSD you asked about, that won't work. You need a SATA M.2 SSD, which has a different interface than NVMe. A 2.5" SSD would work too; just make sure it fits as they are the same technology, just different shapes. You can check out compatible options on PCPartPicker for more details.
You should be fine with any SATA drive. A 2.5" SATA SSD would work nicely. They're a bit less common than regular hard drives but definitely available.
I recommend going for an SSD instead of just a hard drive. Almost any PC from the last 20 years should support 2.5" SATA SSDs. Just double-check the specs to see if it can handle M.2 NVMe SSDs, which are more modern.
