What Upgrades Can Boost My 5-Year-Old PC Performance?

I'm looking for advice on how to enhance the performance of my PC, which is around 5 years old. I've got a benchmark score that shows I'm underperforming compared to similar builds. I reset all overclocks to default for the test. I primarily play single-player survival games and aim for high settings at 60 fps at 1440p. I'm curious about options like upgrading to a 5070 TI and whether I'd also need to upgrade my CPU or PSU. Here's my current system setup and benchmark data: [list] and [benchmark]. Any recommendations on steps to improve?

Your PC has two NVME slots with PCIE 3.0 speeds, which are perfectly good. A cost-effective upgrade would be to add 1-2 NVME drives. You should ideally run everything from an NVME for better performance. I suggest the Samsung 980 Pro or WD SN850X for 1-2TB. Just be aware that installing NVME drives might disable some of your SATA ports, so plan accordingly!

Is there a significant difference in load times between NVME and SATA SSDs? I heard the difference isn't huge unless you're working with lots of operations.

To enhance your performance, start with the basics: update your drivers and clean your PC. If you’re considering a complete upgrade, I’d recommend looking into the 9060 XT and a 7600X CPU, but keep in mind this might require a new motherboard, RAM, and PSU. If you’re budget-conscious, just upgrading to the 9060 XT could suffice, although I can't guarantee you won't hit a bottleneck.
