Hey everyone! I'm in need of a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) but I'm not very familiar with them. I have a 1200W power supply, specifically the Asrock SL-1200gw, and I would love to know which UPS would be suitable for it. Any recommendations or tips would be appreciated!

Your power supply itself isn’t the main concern; it’s your actual power consumption that matters. I suggest checking out some UPS calculators on manufacturer websites—Eaton has a pretty solid one you should try out.
I’m curious, what’s making you feel like you need a UPS? A lot of people think they need one, but if it’s just for protection against surges, a good surge protector might be all you really need.
To figure out how much capacity you need from a UPS, calculate the total load from all your components during use—like your monitor, speakers, and other peripherals, along with your PC. For instance, if your gaming rig with a 5800X3D and 9070XT draws around 500W, add another 100W for your monitor and speakers. A UPS that can supply around 700W would work well, so something in the 1200-1300VA range should do the trick.

I actually deal with frequent power outages in my area, and I work on tasks that I need to save frequently. Losing power means losing progress for me.
