What PSU Should I Use for My RTX 5070ti?

I just picked up an RTX 5070ti along with a Cooler Master G Gold 750 V2 power supply. The GPU's power adapter has three 8-pin PCIe connectors, but my PSU only has two. Should I return the PSU for a Kyber model that has a 12VHPWR connector, or can I use pigtails/splitters from the existing 8-pin connectors?

Honestly, it doesn’t make much sense to invest in a next-gen graphics card and then not pair it with an equally modern PSU. You should definitely choose a PSU that’s ATX 3.1 compatible, especially since you’re aiming for future-proofing your setup.

Using the pigtails is definitely a safe option! The RTX 5070ti consumes around 300W, and with two 8-pin connectors plus the 75W from the PCIe slot, you should have enough power. But it sounds like you bought the PSU along with the card, so if that's the case, I’d recommend returning it and getting a PSU that has a native 12VHPWR cable for better support.

Your PSU is decent for the 5070ti, but if it’s B tier, consider upgrading to an ATX 3 or 3.1 model. The Rosewill VMG is a solid and affordable choice that meets those specs. It might be worth swapping out for peace of mind.
