I have an old Kodak M1703IS camera that's been sitting untouched for years, and it won't turn on. The cable doesn't seem to fit its port either. For most older cameras, including the Kodak M1703IS, they didn't actually charge via a cable directly into the camera. Instead, the battery is usually removed and charged externally. The port you see on the camera is probably a Mini B USB port that's mainly for transferring files. If the camera's been dead for a while, the battery might be beyond saving. A good tip is to remove the SD card to retrieve any files directly using a card reader.
