I'm looking to boost my gaming performance by disabling some unnecessary Windows apps and services. I know the usual tips like uninstalling some apps, but I'm interested in more impactful tweaks that can actually free up system resources. Has anyone had success with specific settings or apps to disable that really helped improve frames per second (FPS)? I've already turned off autostart for some apps and removed widgets, but I'm curious about other options.

Honestly, you might not even notice a small boost like 5-10% FPS. If you're hitting numbers like 66 FPS, going up to 70 FPS probably won't make a huge difference. I found that turning off my framerate counter was one of the best moves I've made for smoother gameplay.
If you're trying to hit that sweet spot in a gorgeous single-player game at 4K, those frames really matter!

If your FPS drops to the 20s, then yeah, that extra boost is super noticeable!
