I'm currently running a Ryzen 3 3300X with an RX 5700, and I'm planning to swap cases soon. I thought it might be a good time to upgrade my CPU as well. I'm also looking to up my power supply from 500W to 650W. My budget for the CPU is around $150, but I'm unsure how many options I might have in that price range.

You should be able to snag a Ryzen 7 5800X for about that price. It's a fantastic upgrade that will keep you going for a long time!
Do you have a website in mind where I can find it for my budget? Also, since it's a Ryzen 7, should I consider a tower cooler? I'm still using the stock cooler right now.
