I'm looking to build a decent PC that can handle gaming and run my Blender animations smoothly. Right now, I'm stuck with a really outdated laptop that just isn't cutting it. My budget is around $800, but I honestly don't have much experience with building PCs. Is that a reasonable budget, or am I completely out of luck?

Buying used or refurbished parts is a great way to fit more power into your budget. Honestly, laptops can be way overpriced for what you get, so checking out mini PCs might be a solid route too. You can find some decent models that won't break the bank. Just make sure they meet the specs you need!
$800 isn't a terrible budget if you shop smart! With that, you're going to have to set your sights on a solid mid-range setup, though. I'd recommend looking at something like an RTX 3060 with an 11th gen i7. That combo will give you good gaming performance but might stretch your budget a bit. Just keep an eye out for deals!
I'm okay with used options. Any specific mini PCs you would recommend?
