What’s a Good Screenshot Tool for Linux That Captures Instantly?

Hey there! I'm diving into Linux, and I need a solid alternative to ShareX, specifically for its feature that takes screenshots as soon as you press the Print Screen key. This is super helpful for capturing quick menus or moments that disappear instantly. I've already tried ksnip, flameshot, and spectacle, but none of them fit the bill for that frame-perfect capture I love. I'm currently using Arch Linux with KDE Wayland. If anyone knows of a tool that works like that, I'd really appreciate your help!

I’ve been using the 'maim' package, and it’s pretty impressive. It has a minimal delay, so it's worth a shot. You can check out the manual [here](https://man.archlinux.org/man/maim.1.en) for more info!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely give that a try.

I found that flameshot can actually work a bit like that! It doesn't take an instant shot, but it does freeze the frame for a moment so you can select what you want. Have you tried adjusting its settings to minimize delay?

I had the same issue with a delay too. It felt more like lag for me, so maybe tweaking some options could help you out.
