What’s a Good Upgrade from a 3070 and 5600X for 1440p Gaming?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my current setup, which is a 3070 paired with a 5600X. I've noticed that new games are starting to struggle at 1440p. I know upgrading the GPU will likely give me the best performance boost, but I'm trying to find a budget-friendly option. People often mention the 5070Ti and 9070XT, but those are a bit pricey for me, especially since I'm also considering a CPU upgrade. Ideally, I'm hoping for a GPU that can comfortably handle AAA games at 1440p without needing to max out settings. I don't mind adjusting some graphics settings! I also just discovered that the MSRP for the 9070XT is $599, which is only $50 more than the non-XT version, so if I can find it at that price, that could work for me too!

I have the same setup: 3070 and 5600X. I’m just waiting for a good deal on a 9070XT since I believe it's the best bang for the buck right now. The 5070Ti is simply too pricey at the moment.

I'm running the 7700XT with the same CPU and get over 60fps at 1440p on most games. If you can find a 7800XT or 4070, those are definitely solid options. I’d recommend looking into those!

I’ll check those out! I've mainly focused on the newer cards, but maybe looking at the second-hand market could help if I find a good deal.

My brother has a 6700XT, which is kind of similar to your 3070. Modern titles are really pushing it at 1440p. Honestly, meaningful upgrades are likely around €700+. You might want to consider used GPUs like the 7900XT for a noticeable performance boost.

Have you considered the 9070 without the XT? The 9060XT is too close in performance to the 3070 for my liking. For many, the price-to-performance ratio just doesn’t justify it!

I looked at that card too, but it can be confusing since actual prices are far from MSRP. The XT version offers about 10-15% better performance, but it's around 25% more expensive. Not sure that's worth it, but thanks for your thoughts!
