I've had two monitors die on me within just a year, both experiencing white lines on the screen before completely failing. The first monitor broke down seven months ago, and now the replacement has also given out under similar conditions. I'm really hoping to figure out what's causing these failures since I can't afford to keep buying new ones. Is there something wrong with my setup that could be killing my monitors?

The brand of the monitors could be worth checking. If they're both AOC, that might hint at quality control issues. Also, think about their environment. Are they subjected to heat from direct sunlight or confined spaces? That could lead to overheating, which is not good for them.
It sounds like there might be an underlying issue that's not related to the monitors themselves. The white lines followed by a complete failure could suggest a power delivery problem. Check your surge protector, outlet, and even your power supply unit. Are you experiencing any other electronic failures around the same time? It could be a sign of something bigger going on.

Yeah, definitely look into the power situation. I had a similar issue before I upgraded my surge protector, and it made a huge difference!
