Hey everyone! I just relocated to a different state and after setting up my PC and monitors, I've noticed that my mouse is lagging significantly on my main monitor, but everything works fine on my second monitor. I'm at a loss here because everything was working perfectly before the move. My primary display is a 32-inch LG UHD 4K monitor, while my secondary monitor is just a basic 1080p HP S2031. Even after lowering the resolution on my 4K monitor, the lag persists, although I can still enjoy 4K movies without issues. I'm not super savvy with tech maintenance, so I'll need clear instructions if you ask for any PC details. Just to share, my specs are: Intel Core i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20 GHz, 16 GB RAM, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure the refresh rate for your 4K monitor is set correctly in your display settings. You mentioned it’s at 30 Hz; try to experiment with other options as well, since sometimes the wrong setting can affect mouse lag even if the image looks fine while watching videos.
First, check if your main monitor is plugged into your graphics card rather than the motherboard. Sometimes, if it’s connected to the wrong port, you can face performance issues. Just take a look at where the cable is plugged in.
How do I check that? I mean, what am I looking for?

I see those options you mentioned. Do you think I should try switching to a lower refresh rate?
