Is a 750W power supply enough for my PC components?

I have a 750W power supply, and based on the calculations from PCPartPicker, my components require around 595 watts. After checking with ChatGPT, it estimated that under normal use, my setup would draw about 600 watts, potentially going up to 675 watts during heavy stress on the CPU and GPU (which I plan to avoid). I'm wondering if the 750W supply will adequately power everything without issues.

It's tough to say without knowing your exact CPU and GPU models. Some components are more power-hungry than others. Could you share those specs? It would help everyone give better advice!

Generally, 750W should be fine as long as it's a reputable brand. If you haven't purchased it yet, consider bumping it to 800-850W for extra headroom in case you want to upgrade later on.

If you have a decent quality PSU, then it should work. Just keep in mind that cheaper power supplies might struggle when you hit 90% capacity, especially with sudden spikes from graphics cards.

Honestly, this isn't where I'd cut corners. A reliable PSU is crucial for your build's longevity. If you're nearing the limits with a 750W, it might be worth investing in a 1000W unit now to prevent future upgrade issues.
