Hey everyone! My partner's PC has been making a weird noise, which has been happening intermittently for over a year now. It usually occurs when he's playing Baldur's Gate and it's pretty annoying. I recorded a video of it, which you can check out here: [link]. He tried cleaning it with compressed air, but that didn't really solve the issue. The PC is over three years old and has the following specs:
- Intel Core i7 10700KF processor
- Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX 3080 10GB
- 240mm liquid cooler (DeepCool Gammax)
- Gigabyte B560M Aorus Pro AX
- Crucial Ballistix 16GB 3200MHz RAM
- 1TB NVME m.2 SSD (Crucial P2)
- MSI MPG 750W Gold power supply
What troubleshooting steps can we take to figure out or fix this noise?

This could also be a sign of a bad bearing in one of the fans. Try removing the fans one-by-one to see if you can spot which one is making the noise. If you still hear it, briefly turning on the PC after removing the GPU or CPU fan might help identify the culprit.
It sounds like there might be air trapped in the liquid cooler. If that's the case, try gently tilting the PC so that the glass side is facing upwards; this could help purge the air.
I'll definitely give that a shot! Thanks for the tip!
Great advice! We'll add that to our list of things to try. Appreciate it!
