I've noticed that Microsoft used to rapidly release new OpenAI models in the EU Data zones, but now there's a significant delay. GPT 5.2 was launched at the end of 2025, and as of April 2026, it still hasn't become available. I'm starting to think this is a real issue. Am I missing something? Is there a better place to check for updates?

You're looking in the right spot! Microsoft seems to be neglecting the EU lately. If it’s bothering you, there are alternatives like Mistral that are good options! Nothing wrong with exploring other providers.
At least we still have global standard models available, but it feels like the rollout for EU data zone models has hit a major slow down. It's frustrating for those of us who need 5.4 but can’t use it until it's available in the EU.
I'm moving towards AWS and Anthropic models myself. They're starting to look more reliable than waiting around for Microsoft.
I get that! However, I've found AWS’s guardrails to be pretty strict. They often flag things incorrectly, plus there are different limits for different guardrails.
Thanks for the info on AWS! It looks like you have access to some Claude models in Europe too. Have you run into any issues with the cross-region availability?

Totally agree! It’s a bit unsettling. The same situation with Google—they're only offering older models in Europe. It’s tough out there for model access!
