I'm looking to upgrade my PC after receiving some parts from a friend, specifically a Ryzen 5 5600 processor and Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 RAM (2x8GB at 3200MHz). I've been wanting to switch from console gaming to PC gaming but always hesitated due to costs. Now that I have the foundation, I'm unsure about which additional components I should purchase and how much I can expand my setup in the future. I'm particularly interested in playing FPS games like Call of Duty and Battlefield 6, as well as GTA 6 down the line. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You mainly need to get a case, a good PSU (Power Supply Unit), a GPU (Graphics Card), and something for storage like an NVME drive. Definitely reach out to the community; they can help prevent any rookie mistakes. Also, consider looking for used parts online to save money if you're on a budget. However, keep in mind that this CPU may not have many upgrade options down the line, but it's a solid start for gaming.
First, you'll want to decide on a budget for the remaining parts. Consider visiting forums or subreddits where people can help you create a parts list based on what you already have. It’s a great way to get tailored advice!
Check out the subreddit wiki or other guides, input what you have into pcpartpicker.com to find compatible components. Establish a budget, and when you're ready, you can come back with a more detailed build request!
Thanks for the info!

I didn't even know about that subreddit, thanks for the tip!
