I recently had a bad experience with the Adata Legend 710, which failed on me after just one day. I'm looking for recommendations for a reliable 1TB NVMe SSD, preferably for under $50. I'd like to know if it should include DRAM or not, and I'm using an MSI A520M-A Pro motherboard, so any compatibility advice would be helpful too!

I found the Silicon Power UD90 to be pretty reliable and it's only slightly over budget at 37 cents more. Check it out; it could be worth it!
If you're open to spending just a bit more, the Crucial P310 is a solid choice, though it’s slightly over your budget.
Steer clear of QLC drives like the UD90, NV3, or P3/P310. Good options include the PNY CS1030, TeamGroup MP33 (Pro), or Kioxia Exceria G2. They offer better performance and reliability, especially for your needs.
It really depends on your usage! For gaming, you don’t need DRAM or TLC tech. QLC drives without DRAM work just fine since games are mostly read-heavy. You only really need TLC and DRAM if you’re doing a lot of data writing.
