Hey everyone! I recently upgraded my graphics card from a 3060 to a 5070 Ti, but I'm still using an AM4 motherboard with a Ryzen 5 3600. I'm considering getting a 5800X3D, but the price seems a bit steep for me. Can anyone suggest a good AM4 processor to pair with my 5070 Ti? Or would it make more sense to switch to AM5 instead?
Just to give you some context, I mainly use this PC for gaming, particularly games like Repo and Minecraft with heavy shaders and mods.

I'd recommend going with the Ryzen 5700X. It's a solid CPU for gaming and should give you a nice performance boost without breaking the bank. Plus, it consumes the same power as your current 3600, so you won't need a new PSU. If money's tight, this is a great stop-gap until you're ready to move to AM5. Just keep in mind, the X3D models like the 5800X3D do outperform it, especially with their extra cache, but they are pricey!
5700X is the way to go! You can usually snag it for around $180, which is a good deal, especially for a jump up from the 3600. This should pair well with your 5070 Ti. Just wait until you're ready for an AM5 upgrade. No rush!

I actually saw the Ryzen 5 5800X on sale for $175 at Best Buy, might be worth considering!
