I primarily play Battlefield 6 at a resolution of 5160x2160, paired with a 5070 Ti GPU. I'm considering if it's worth upgrading from a Ryzen 7600X to something like the 7700X, 7800X3D, or 9800X3D, given the price points: 7600X at $159, 7700X at $229, 7800X3D at $369, and 9800X3D at $450. Since I already have the 5070 Ti and plan to keep it, I'm hesitant to spend too much on a CPU, especially with current prices for the 5080 being higher than what I paid for my GPU. Any thoughts on this?

Honestly, I think you're more GPU dependent than CPU at that resolution. Your GPU will carry most of the load, so the CPU might not be a huge factor in your FPS. I play at a similar 5k2k resolution and I've noticed my CPU often takes a back seat while my GPU is working hard to push frames. You might just want to stick with what you have for now. Just my two cents!

What CPU are you using right now?
