What’s the Best Asset Inventory Platform for a Small Business?

I'm working for a company with about 70 employees. Each person has a laptop and usually one or two monitors. Some have Adobe licenses while others have different software. Currently, we don't have a solid inventory system in place, other than a few Excel sheets. We're considering Snipe-IT, but it seems a bit too comprehensive for our needs. We've also found HomeBox, which appears to be a simpler option. What asset management tools would you recommend and why?

For a small business, try checking out AssetTiger. You can manage up to 250 assets for free and it’s pretty user-friendly!

Seconding that recommendation! AssetTiger is straightforward, and if you get asset tags from them, it allows for easy scanning.

I joined Snipe-IT over other systems and have been very happy with it. It’s simple to use, and grabbing a barcode scanner helps keep everything organized—that makes asset tracking a breeze!

If you want something lightweight, I really like Reftab. It offers a lot of the same functionalities as Snipe-IT but with extra automation features that just make life easier.

What’s the best Reftab plan for integrating devices and identities? I'm curious!

Thanks for the recommendation! I love how automations streamline things—it keeps the focus on work rather than management.

I’d go with Snipe-IT. It covers all your needs and it’s free! Plus, it has great community support. If you don’t want to host it yourself, you can pay for their hosting, which is super affordable at around $300 a year.

Yeah, I totally agree! We opted for Snipe-IT too, and honestly, it’s been fantastic for us. Doesn’t take much to get it up and running.
