What’s the best budget GPU for playing STALKER 2 at 1440p, 60fps?

I'm trying to play STALKER 2 at native 1440p with 60fps but I'm not sure which GPU to aim for. I don't have an exact budget right now, and I want to avoid any silly suggestions about top-tier cards like the 5090. Any recommendations?

You might also want to look at the 5070 with DLSS4 activated, the 5070 Ti, or even more powerful options like the RX 9070 or 7900 XT/XTX if you can find them for a decent price. Just be aware that the GPU market is kind of all over the place right now.

STALKER 2 isn't the best when it comes to optimization, so keep that in mind. You may want to check out benchmarks for a clearer idea of what to expect performance-wise. Here's a review that might help: TechPowerUp review on STALKER 2 FPS performance.

Thanks for the link! I was having a hard time finding good benchmarks.

Yeah, I get that the optimization isn’t great, which is why I'm checking this out.

If you’re checking the used market, a 4070, 4070 Super, or a 7800XT would be solid options too. You shouldn’t have to spend more than $500 on any of those, even used.

If you want to stick with native 1440p, look into the 7900XTX or 4080. But if those are hard to find at a good price, the 9070XT and 5070Ti could be good alternatives. Just be ready for some rough performance given the game's optimization!

For max settings, consider the 5070 Ti as a starting point with DLSS quality. If you really want native performance, the 5090 is the ultimate choice, but that's obviously pricey.

Keep in mind that game optimization has really suffered lately. Often, DLSS quality settings can look better than native resolution, especially with DLSS4.
