I'm looking for a budget-friendly motherboard for either the 9950X3D or 9950X CPUs. I've seen a lot of X670 boards available for around $200, and I'm wondering if they will suffice, or should I go for an X870 instead? I want to keep my budget between $100 and $200, but I'm willing to stretch a bit if absolutely necessary. Also, the shop I'm checking out doesn't carry any B850 options, so I'm limited to X670 and below. By the way, I don't have particular preferences for the GPU.

You should consider a B650 or X670 if they're more affordable. I picked up a decent B650 board recently for around $160, and it performs well for gaming and regular use. Unless you need extra features like multiple USB ports or extra NVME slots, a mid-range board should be more than enough.
I'd say the X670 will be perfectly fine for your needs! They offer good performance and features without breaking the bank. Definitely a solid choice.
If you're sticking with what's available, check if you can find the ASRock B850 Pro A WiFi. Just make sure to update the BIOS, and it should run smoothly. Since you mentioned you're limited to X670 or lower, it might be a good alternative if it pops up.
Unfortunately, the shop doesn't have B850. I'm really just looking at what I can find under X670.
The B850 options are way too pricey at my shop, around $350. So I'm definitely leaning towards B650 or X670. Thanks for the tip!
