What’s the Best CPU Upgrade for My Acer Predator Orion 5000 with an RTX 3080?

I'm currently using an OEM Acer Predator Orion 5000, which has an Intel i7-11700K and an RTX 3080. I've been noticing some significant bottlenecks with my CPU, especially when gaming, and I'm considering an upgrade. I want to ensure that the new CPU can pair well with the RTX 3080, especially because I'm thinking about possibly upgrading my GPU in the future too. I'm usually an Intel user, but if AMD offers better performance for gaming, I'm open to switching. Keep in mind, any new CPU will likely require a motherboard upgrade as well.

If you're looking to upgrade, you might need to replace the CPU, motherboard, RAM, and cooler. A budget-friendly option could be the Ryzen 7600 or 7600X with a B850 motherboard and 32GB of 6000MHz RAM. Just make sure you check if your case and power supply are also compatible since they might be proprietary. Alternatively, if you're willing to spend a bit more, consider going for something like the Ryzen 7800X3D or an Intel i5-14600K, which are solid choices for gaming.

I hear you! I'd prefer to avoid going super cheap since I want my rig to be upgradeable too. I might look into something that can handle future GPUs like the 50 series.
