Hey everyone! I just built my first PC and I'm totally loving it! I've been playing modded Risk of Rain 2 and Elden Ring, but I've noticed some dust buildup. I've cleaned PCs before, but I recently came across the idea of using an electric dust remover. Some people are using them to suck or blow dust out of their machines. Has anyone here used an electric dust remover? If so, which one do you recommend? By the way, I'd also like to clean my PS5 with it too.

I’ve heard good things about the Metrovac Datavac, though it’s pretty pricey, usually around $100. The Wolfbox MF100 is another option in that range. Personally, I picked up a Wolfbox MF50 for about $30 on Newegg, and it does a great job cleaning dust from my electronics. For heavy dust, I usually use a microfiber cloth to wipe down fans and airflow panels.

Honestly, just buy a small air compressor. That’ll really solve your dust problems.
I used both a mini-vac and a mini leaf blower in the past, but definitely stick to a vacuum for dust removal. Just don’t let the fans spin! They can act like little generators and potentially damage your motherboard. Oh, and be sure to ground the vacuum nozzle to the chassis to reduce static build-up.
I’ve been wondering about this too! I’m really tired of using those compressed air cans.
The Datavac is my go-to! It’s gone up in price, but it’s worth it since you won’t need to buy air cans anymore. I’ve had mine for three years and it can handle almost anything. Just a tip: always hold the fans in place while using it to prevent damage; letting them spin can ruin your fan bearings.
