Hey everyone! My company is letting me pick a laptop for work, and I'm planning to use a Linux distribution like Nobara, Elementary, or Pop!_OS. I'm looking for recommendations on a laptop that provides the best compatibility, price, and specifications for these distros. Appreciate any help you can offer!

Lenovo laptops tend to have great Linux compatibility. Both the ThinkPad and IdeaPad lines should work well. I just picked up an IdeaPad 5 with an AMD CPU and graphics, and it runs Fedora 42 flawlessly!

I just grabbed a ThinkPad T14 Gen 6 with Intel, and it's been working wonderfully with EndeavourOS and Plasma. Definitely a solid choice if you're leaning towards Intel!

I would suggest looking at the ThinkPad T14s or even the non-s versions. They are known for their compatibility with Linux systems. What do you think about going with Ryzen or Intel for the CPU?
