I have an old laptop with an Intel i3 2370m processor, 16GB of RAM, and 480GB of storage. I'm looking for a lightweight Linux distribution that would work well on these specs. Any recommendations?

Honestly, with that kind of memory, you can run most distros without any issues! I’d suggest checking out Aurora as well. It’s user-friendly and runs smoothly, so you won’t have any hassle!

With 16GB RAM, you could really experiment! MX Linux with XFCE is a solid choice. Just make sure to disable unnecessary features like samba and bluetooth to boost performance. It's also on the way to releasing MX 25 soon, so that could be worth checking out. Just grab the sysvinit version for faster boot times!

I agree! MX Linux is a good option, but I'd also recommend trying Linux Mint XFCE if you're new to Linux—it’s user-friendly and pretty reliable!

Lubuntu or Xubuntu could be great options! Lubuntu is known to be the lightest of the Ubuntu flavors. It keeps things pretty streamlined, perfect for older machines!
