I'm looking to install a lightweight Linux distro on a USB drive that includes essential features like audio, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth support. I'm considering using Sway for the setup. Here are some distros I've come across: WayDog Trixie, MX-Linux Minimal respin, LilliDog Trixie, BearDog Trixie, TrixiePup64 Wayland, TrixiePup64 Retro, Antix26 Full, Antix26 Core, and Mini OS. Since this will be for USB use, I'd prefer a full install, but I'm also thinking about using the 'toram' option. I have a solid XFCE setup on my laptop, but I want something more portable, especially considering USB wear. My top three choices at the moment are WayDog Linux, MX-Linux Minimal respin, and Mini OS Standard edition.

If you're looking for something easy to set up, I recommend Slax. You just unpack the ISO on the USB drive and run a script to make it bootable. You'll have persistent storage, but just a heads up: the UI isn't the greatest, and it logs you in as root by default.
Have you considered Damn Small Linux? It's really lightweight and could work well for your needs.
