What’s the best lightweight Linux distro that feels like Windows 10?

I'm trying to speed up my dad's old computer, and since he'll be using it, I want to find a Linux distribution that's very user-friendly and similar to Windows 10. The specs are an Intel i3-3110M CPU at 2.40 GHz with 4GB of RAM and a 64-bit processor. It's also important that the distro can install an Italian language pack. Any suggestions?

If you're open to experimenting, you might also want to try out Kubuntu with some configuration. It can give you a Windows-like experience, although it might need a little setup.

Kubuntu does look nice, but yeah, it can be a bit overwhelming if you're not tech-savvy.

Zorin is another great option, especially for users transitioning from Windows. But if you're looking for something more stable, I'd recommend going with Mint Cinnamon instead.

Zorin started off well, but I noticed some issues with extensions down the line. Mint is definitely more consistent.

You might want to check out Linux Mint with the Cinnamon desktop environment. It's designed to be user-friendly and has a similar feel to Windows, making it great for your dad.

I agree! Cinnamon is a good choice. It’s straightforward and lightweight, plus it should run well on those specs.

Ultimately, it’s the desktop environment that makes the difference, not just the distro. Look for ones that offer environments like XFCE or KDE if you want a familiar feel.
