What’s the Best Linux Distro for a Lenovo 2-in-1 Laptop?

I have a Lenovo 300e 81M9 2-in-1 laptop that currently runs Windows. I enjoy using Windows on my desktop, but I find it less appealing on lighter devices like this one. I'm looking for a user-friendly Linux distro that doesn't require much terminal usage and works well with touchscreen features. I was thinking about trying Zorin, but I'm not sure how it would perform on this laptop. I have tested Zorin via a live USB, and it seems great; it's intuitive, fast, and visually pleasing. I'm leaning towards uninstalling Windows for Zorin, although I wish the core version had more themes since I'm not keen on purchasing the Pro version every time it updates.

You should definitely try Pop!_OS; it has some fantastic touchpad tweaks that really enhance the experience. It's hands down a great choice!

While I don't have a 2-in-1, my laptop runs on GNOME, which is pretty lightweight. I just installed the essential components, and it works nicely with touchscreens. GNOME really offers a great tablet-like UI which should suit your needs well!

If touchscreen support is a priority for you, I’d suggest checking out Fedora with Plasma Mobile. It’s designed for mobile interfaces, and should work nicely. But honestly, any mainstream distro would probably be fine too!

As a user of a ThinkPad X390 Yoga, I can say any distro with GNOME is likely to work great. I run Arch Linux with GNOME, but Fedora is also a solid option that should be user-friendly for you!

I’ve been using EndeavourOS on my 2-in-1 and it's been awesome! It doesn't focus specifically on 2-in-1s, but it has cool features like iio-ptoxy built in, which helps with screen rotation when flipping it to tablet mode. Everything scales well, too!
