Hey everyone! I just got my first laptop, and I'm super excited to switch to Linux as my main operating system. I plan to use it for gaming, video editing, 3D rendering, and a bit of light coding. I want to find a version that's user-friendly without the bloatware that comes with Windows. Are there any tutorials out there to help me learn Linux, and which version do you think I should go for?

Check out this guide I found that explains how Linux works. It covers setting up for audio and video, which might be helpful since you're getting into editing. If gaming and editing are your main focus, you can skip the audio details. If you want something easy to use right out of the box, I recommend Ubuntu. But if you’re up for some customization, consider Bazzite. Just a heads up, dual booting can be tricky. I usually just use a USB stick to boot instead; it saves a lot of hassle.
Just make sure to check what hardware you have when choosing a distro. And remember, if you run into issues, mentioning your distro and hardware helps a lot when asking for support.
Pop! OS is great, especially for gaming and video editing. It’s pretty user-friendly and doesn’t need much setup. I also like Fedora Workstation; it works well for most tasks.
