What’s the Best Linux Distro for a Newbie Gamer?

I've been a lifelong Windows user and have no experience with Linux. I recently watched a PewDiePie video about switching to Linux, and I'm curious about making the transition. However, I'm completely clueless about which Linux distribution would be best for casual gaming. I'd prefer a distro that's easy to install and use right away without having to dive deep into learning how Linux works. Any suggestions?

If gaming is your main focus, you should definitely check out Bazzite. It's specifically designed for gamers and comes pre-configured, so you can start playing without a lot of setup hassle. A lot of users swear by it for a reason!

Ubuntu LTS is also a practical choice. It has long-term support and tons of resources available, plus most software you might want to use is compatible with it. It’s a great all-around option for newcomers.

I think Linux Mint 22.1 (Cinnamon edition) is a solid starting point for newcomers. It's user-friendly and has a familiar interface, which can help ease you into the Linux environment.

I’d recommend giving Garuda Linux a shot. It’s based on Arch, which might sound intimidating, but it's quite user-friendly. Plus, it’s optimized for gaming while still being versatile enough for everyday use.
