Hey everyone! My Windows PC recently gave out, and I've decided it's time to switch to Linux because I'm quite done with Microsoft. While I've had some exposure to Linux through my studies in computer science, I haven't used it personally until now. I consider myself a beginner but I'm not entirely a stranger to technology. I'm looking for suggestions on which Linux distribution to use since I need it for gaming, animation, coding, and game development. I've heard good things about Arch, but I'm not sure if my tech experience is enough to handle it. What are your recommendations?

A good way to start is to consider what you've already worked with for your projects. If you recall using something similar, that might guide your choice. You want something that feels familiar, so stick with what you know to a degree.

I can't remember exactly, but I did some stuff on Raspberry Pis and worked with virtual machines.
